Tutorial #26 - How to draw transparent areas on the Tacticsboard canvas

Being able to place transparent area on the Tacticsboard canvas has many benefits, from highlighting an area where you want someone to focus on to marking a territory you want a group of people to defend.

This tool works just line the multi-line tool.

Drawing a transaprent area
1. Select the transparent box tool below

2. Select the colour and pen tip for this area
3. Move the cursor to where you want the transparent area to start and click the mouse button (you do not need to hold the mouse button in like you do when you draw a line)
4. Now move the mouse to where you want the first line to finish and click the mouse button once (the first line will appear below)

5. Move the mouse to the next position and click, so you see a line appear from where the last line ended.
6. Repeat step two (2) until you have the lines exactly where you want them.
7. Double click the mouse button to release the tool and place the transparent area you have created down onto the canvas (as below)

Modifying the transparent area
With the selector tool, you can change the transaprent area you have created easily.

1. Click the selector tool (below)

2. Now click the point at the end of the transparent area you need to change. You will see a black circle appear on the line point (below)

3. Simply drag the point to where you want the line to finish, you will notice this alters the connected lines as well.

4. Double click the canvas to release the line selected.

Note: You can also delete any selected point on the transaprent area by pressing the keyboard shortcut delete key (del)
